Artist's Statement:
My award-winning work starts with photos and images that I transform into large sheets of semi-transparent gel transfers. In mysterious ways and with fantastical colors, these gel transfers of images of the natural world and man-made infrastructure around us are layered over the written word. Sculptures in steel and found material also combine nature and words.
